Anonymous asked: I'm not defending their actions though. I saddened by the fact that they have to go this far in order for something to happen. I doubt much will change though, and it seems like China is simply going to kill and oppress Uyghurs more now.

I don’t think they’re going to kill randomly. BUT I do think they’re going to oppress and keep a tighter lock on Uyghurs which is really sad. Because of some violent horrible people, innocent people will have to pay with their freedom.

Anonymous asked: Oh and you can argue about history, politics, and borderlines all you want - the simple fact is, Uyghur people are ethnically, religiously, culturally, and politically completely different from the Han Chinese. If Taiwan is allowed to be its own country because of politics despite being of Chinese descent, then I don't see why Uyghurs don't have a claim to their own country.

The Han Chinese have differences from all the ethnic minorities in China. Uyghurs have strong similarities with the Salars (also turkic speaking muslims), the Yugurs (who are Buddhist Uyghurs) and the Hui.

If ANYONE is going to get their own land it would be Tibet. Not all Uyghurs want it their own country and they enjoy being in China. The government has unfortunately stopped people wearing Doppas to school etc which I disagree with! It’s unfortunate that some people decide to turn to terrorism which is going to lead to further oppression of our culture which is pretty sad.

gijil asked: Hey! About the attacks in china by uyghurs: I'm not exactly sure but they definitley did it with a reason. I mean not killing people (because that is wrong no matter what happened) but for some reason that they maybe were oppressed or something. I myself could say that my ancient ancestors have been uyghurs because my roots lie there. I'm just really curious.

Yeah, of course there was a reason. It doesn’t mean it was a good one though.

The knife attacks in China have really upset me. Not only because it was a very sad and barbaric incident. But because the perpetrators of the attacks where Uyghur people from Xinjiang (I am part Uyghur).
It was plain and simply a selfish terrorist attack. Terrorism is disgusting. No matter what “point” you’re trying to prove. Killing people at random, it makes NO sense to me. I don’t know what goes through some people’s minds. You could kill the doctor that saves your mothers live. You could kill the teacher that educates your child.
The logic behind this is that SOME Uyghur people want a separate country called “East-Turkestan” because a small group of people in Kashgar declared it was it’s own country in 1912. However, Xinjiang has been part of China since around 60 BC. Second East Turkestan Republic (1944–1949) was created in the  Kazakh Ili provence by Russia, to exploit the natural resources but was the returned to China.
The region as a whole was NEVER as separate country called East-Turkestan. Turkic speaking people originated from China, Mongolia and Siberia. There are other groups native to China who speak a turkic language such as the Yugur (who are Buddhist Uyghurs) and the Salar people.
Uyghur culture is beautiful and I am proud of my heritage, however events like this deeply sadden me. I have a close friend who is from Kunming provenance. She isn’t even Han, she’s Bai.

So upset at the attacks in China turned out to be terrorist attacks from Uyghurs… as someone of Uyghur descent I’m REALLY upset. :(

Anonymous asked: Hey quick question, in some pics you ise the term caucasoid and such but are you using it as just a stand in for European or actually talking about the people of the Caucasus, whom are not, in large part, of European decent?

No, I know caucasoid isn’t just a term for europeans. Someone from say, India or Kuwat (just a random two I picked) could be described as caucasian :)

Anonymous asked: I once had a blog on blogspot that I eventually abandoned without deleting it. Years later I find it is somehow filled with porn?? And I don't have access to it anymore so there's no deleting it. So just a heads up, I know you've put a lot of work and love on this blog but just leaving it might be a bad idea.

I don’t want it to become universal boobs :( lol

urihu asked: nooooooooooooo don't delete

I’ll see what I can do! D:

Anonymous asked: I don't have any advice but please don't delete it :o it's a great blog to browse even if it isn't updating :)

Awh I’m really glad everyone likes this blog <3 But I’m leaving the country and going on to do something!

epicspacefantasy asked: At least don't delete it! Even if it doesn't update, it's still a great storehouse of beautiful photographs.

I suppose but, I feel kinda sad just leaving it there! D:

randgris-deactivated20140304 asked: Give it to someone else to carry on

I would if I find a suitable person to do that :)

I no longer have time for this blog…. I don’t know what to do? Leave it? Give it to someone else? Delete it? Not sure. ><

dinababes asked: OMG I'm half Uighur too can you tell me more about it because I didn't grow up with that side of the family and I want to know more about it, and im also Tajik and Uzbek so yea I heavnt met that many uighirs

Hey! That’s really cool, where are your Uyghur family from? Mine are from China. I did a DNA test and apparently I have Tajik blood also, way back.
I just followed you on my main account :) I would love to see a picture of you!

lerihan asked: I am half italian and half viet, and i just wanted to ask if, in your life, youve ever been told you had no culture or you were 'fake' and how did you react to it ? I get that a lot because i dont speak either viet or italian and it just hurts my pride you know... :c

Wow, nice mix. I’m Chinese-Uyghur and Italian. Uyghur is an ethnic group from west China and they have their own language as well as Mandarin. I don’t speak ANY of those languages. I don’t speak any Italian either.
Don’t worry, people can be really dumb. There’s been rumours online that I’m actually half black half white lol. Some people are really odd. Just find who you are and be content with it. Trust me it works :)

Anonymous asked: Do you have Jewish, Gypsy, Frisian, Scottish or Eskimo?

Sure, I’ll give it a go :)
